Pork Nova Scotia Regulations Changing July 4, 2016

Effective July 4, 2016 the Pork Nova Scotia Regulations have been updated and several changes will take effect, including:

  1. Regulation exemption- the number of animals to fall under the exemption has been reduced from 50 to 25.
  2. Booking System- the marketing booking system has been updated to allow for group bookings
  3. Types of hogs- the types of hogs have been redefined to include feeder pigs
  4. Levy changes- weaner levy will now be $0.25 per hog and feeder, cull boar, cull sow, stag and market hog will now be $2.00 per hog.
