Pork Nova Scotia COVID-19 Update
Here at Pork Nova Scotia we are following the COVID-19 situation very closely and following all public health recommendations related to meetings and other gatherings. As of now, we are currently working to sort out cancelling or rescheduling all planned workshops and meetings up until April 3, 2020, where possible we will be holding meetings via electronic means such as conference call or video conference. We will update you as we determine alternative arrangements for these events. To help protect yourself and other, please visit https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus.
In an effort to continue to provide service to our members and clients we will continue to maintain regular office hours until further notice. However, we do ask that you only visit the office if required. If you are looking for Pig Tags, please phone the office in advance to ensure these are prepared for you.
If we are required to close the office for public health reasons, we can assure that we have the ability to work remotely and will do our best to maintain our high level of service.
We are working very closely with our related organizations at ACMA as well as the Canadian Pork Council to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic in the Province, region and nationally.
In an effort to get a better understanding of challenges at the farm, please respond to the following questions.
- As the COVID-19 virus changes our lives, what are you experiencing at the present time when it comes to running your businesses under changing crisis management on the human health level?
- Are their staff issues ?
- Shipping inside and outside the province issues related to this virus ?
- Shipping to local slaughter facilities ?
- Financial institutions?
